UNIT 3-4 The Romanization System Used in the MISJ

Sometimes the same two vowels appear successively. Be sure to read the former vowel or the syllable in double length. Please note that (ee) and (oo) should be pronounced like [e:] and [o:] but not like [i:] of "seen" or [u:] of "fool".

[okaasan] [keeki] [kooen]

As you may have noticed, these longer sounds are pronounced with different pitches.

Listen carefully the sound movement and repeat each word.
