UNIT 4-3 Japanese Accent

Accent, the pitch difference, is sometimes very important.

Listen carefully and see if you can hear the pitch difference.
[ ame ](rain) & [ ame ](candy)
Even if you are not very good at hearing the pitch difference, don't worry about it too much. There is little possibility that you will be misunderstood by using wrong accents. However, if you are good at it, please be sensitive to their accents whenever you memorize new words. Just imagine how strange it would sound if you kept on saying candy, when you were talking about rain.

Next, you are going to study Japanese numbers.
