UNIT 4-1 Basic Greetings

In Japan, people bow and sometimes raise or wave their hands but do not shake hands, kiss or hug each other in public.


The following greetings are basically used to OUTSIDERS. Except for “sayoonala”, they are not usually used when talking to those whom you meet almost every day.
