You can easily make a question by adding the PARTICLE 「か」 at the end of a sentence and pronouncing it at a higher pitch.

For affirmative answers, 「はい[hai]」 is added. 「はい」 should be interpreted not simply as “yes” but as “Yes, you guessed it right”.

The letter 「は」 is one of the few letters which are pronounced in two ways.
When it is used as a PARTICLE, it is pronounced as 「は[wa]」. Otherwise, it is pronounced as 「は[ha]」.
